No Old Towne Swing November 29th!!!
Please don’t come this week! You won’t find us, and we’re also pretty sure you won’t be on the guest list for the private event that’s bumping us this week 😉
Old Towne Swing runs November 1, 8, 15, AND NOW the 22nd before taking a one week break. The break ends in December and boy, do we have a fun December planned for you!
We’ve got news… it’s a potluck
BUT FIRST… make a special note that Old Towne Swing will be happening November 22nd! It’s going to be a potluck, so please respond to the Facebook event, and if you’ll be bringing a dish, napkins/paper plates, or a non-alcoholic beverage to share, post what you’ll be bringing to the discussion on the event page to help avoid dupilcates.
Moreover, we’re bringing out a host of DJs to rotate throughout the night: Augie Freeman, Sarah Stembridge, Grace Babbes, and Blake Thiessen will bring their favorite selections to keep the mood festive and the dance floor lively.
Though a special event, admission for the night will remain our normal weekly admission of $15 for lessons and dance, and $10 for social dancing.
Lindy TLC and a break for the performance team
Because of the break schedule and because interest in performance teams fluctuates, we’re putting the Old Towne Strutters’ performance team on a bit of a hiatus to resurrect an old, but very popular, class format from a bygone era (Strutters’ Ball days back at its Placentia location). Lindy TLC is back! If you are looking to get beyond the basics and geek out on your dancing, this class is for you. Come prepared with ideas and help guide the class. If nobody has ideas, James will take a look at the group after a warm-up session and try to deep-dive in on one or two problem areas he observes.
Lindy TLC starts November 1st and will run until the end of 2023.
