Come join us in June for our 7 pm Intermediate partnered Charleston! If you have your Charleston and Lindy Hop basics down, you should be good to go with this class. We’ll focus on transitions between front, side-by-side, and maybe tandem Charleston. This class is technically a series in focus, but will still be accessible to those that can’t make it for all 4 weeks, provided your have those basics down.
As always, regardless of your skill level join us for our 7:45pm all levels Lindy Hop class. If you’re new to partnered dancing, we focus on getting you feeling comfortable on the floor as fast as possible. Advanced dancers, basics are great to work on, and you help bring up and encourage newer dancers!
The Grand Slam Sextet on July 8th!
Join us on July 8th for a night of live music! The Grand Slam Sextet, led by guitarist and bandleader Jonathan Stout, is a Benny Goodman Sextet inspired lineup. You’ll get dulcet clarinet, spacious and warm vibraphone, electric guitar with a hint of a raspy growl, and one of the best rhythm sections there is-and they will be whipping out delightful music for your dancing pleasure!
Price: $20 (includes lessons, no discounts or passes accepted for admission)
Special Event Schedule:
- 7:30 pm – all levels Lindy Hop with Chris Grover and Belén Mendez
- 8:15 pm – social dance start with DJ
- 8:30 pm – Band set 1 start
- ~9:30 pm – first band break, DJ and birthday jam
- ~10:00 pm – Band set 2 start
- ~11:00 pm – closing DJ and band cleanup
